The Importance of Quality Control, Measurements & Warehousing

When we buy green coffee most of us rely on cupping: when it’s good you buy it, when it’s not you do not. Simple & logical.
Other requirements are often an afterthought.  However, unfortunately, cupping is not always enough. That’s why we’d like to talk a bit about our quality process when we buy green coffee. We need this info when we are cupping the coffees to back us up or oblige us to rethink why we are tasting certain things.

Below you can find the for us 3 most important quality checks when we are buying green coffee. We can always share this info with you as transparency is very important for us. If the parameters aren’t right we’re not buying the coffees and neither should you.

So in the future if you ask for our offer list we’ll give you an opportunity to cup our coffees (roasted or green), provide you info & pictures of the lot & see their scoring on the following parameters:

Our Quality Requirements:

  • Screen size (95% consistent)
  • Humidity (less than 11.5% by Sinar)
  • Visual examination color
