IMPLEMENTING AGROFORESTRY PRACTICES IN CAMEROON
PURPOSE
- Improve new and existing cocoa and palm oil plantations with a total of 1,500 fruit trees and 2,000 palm trees in six villages
- Expand territory of new and existing cocoa participating plantations ready
This project was possible thanks to the support of APE Assistance, AO Cameroon, Institut de Recherche Agricole et de Développement, International Institute for Tropical Agriculture, Tropical Forest Honey and Rural Development, FAO Cameroon, World Agroforestry Center, Service d’Appui aux Initiatives Locales de Développement, Institute for Tropical Medicine Antwerp, University Ghent (Laboratory for Zoophysiology), Apiculture Museum, Royal Flemish Bee Keeper Federation and the EFICO Foundation and started running in 2010.
