Ethiopia Sidamo GR2 FTO

Rich, floral flavor with hints of jasmine, good acidity and lemon notes, a full, rounded mouthfeel and bright and soft finish.

Located in the heart of the Great Rift Valley, Sidama is the largest washed coffee area in Ethiopia. It ranges from the mountains of Bensa, to the valley of Dale and Aleta Wondo.

High in the mountains, with ideal soil and weather conditions, the Sidama coffee farmers produce award winning “terroir” coffee that encompasses an amazing richness in varieties.

This coffee has been carefully selected and prepared by KURU, EFICO’s exclusive partner in Ethiopia for over 20 years:

Arabica coffee has its roots in Ethiopia. According to the legend, a shepherd called Kaldi accidentally discovered coffee: he found his goats more active after consuming ripe, red coffee cherries.

As a labor-intensive crop, coffee provides means of livelihood for over 15 million people in Ethiopia. Over 90% of coffee is produced by small producers. The vast majority of the production in Ethiopia is organic.

Bule Hora is located within Guji Zone and is named after a tribe of the Oromo people. The Guji Zone was created in September 2002, when the upland Woredas of the Borena Zone were split apart.
