Our origins

At EFICO, we source a wide range of coffees from different origins, farmers, and suppliers, offering a variety of qualities.
With this diversity, we’re confident we can find a coffee that’s just right for you.
As green coffee specialists, we’re here to make a difference—connecting the value chain and building strong, lasting partnerships.
That’s why we mainly source from local exporters, cooperatives, and unions, supporting local economies and growth.

Each origin brings its own unique qualities that make coffee exciting for every enthusiast.
These qualities are lovingly nurtured by our farmer partners.
Working alongside our teams in origin and long-term partners, we ensure you always get the best coffee.

We feel very lucky to team up with experts from various backgrounds dedicated to go the extra mile.

Tanzania Tumaini

This specific coffee is called Tanzania “Tumaini”, meaning “HOPE” in Kiswahili. This fully washed Rainforest Alliance coffee has a balanced cup, fine acidity, milk chocolate body with fruity flavors, berry and tobacco notes, bright sweetness and rounded with smooth finish. It is produced by APK, a business owned by a family group with deep roots in Colombia under the leadership of Alejandro Galante, which makes APK uniquely Tanzanian with a Colombian feel.

Through the EFICO Foundation project 'Kilimanjaro Water and Food For all', APK, together with Herencia Value Your Legacy and EFICO seek to mitigate productive, social, environmental and financial risks for their operations in Tanzania, while improving resilience in their coffee value chain through the implementation of regenerative and water efficient agricultural
systems for coffee and maize seeds in 2 APK farms to restore soil productivity and grant access to water and food for rural communities in Kilimanjaro.
