Fazenda Vila Boa Mundo Novo

Brazil: Campo das Vertentes, Minas Gerais

Fazenda Vila Boa is a coffee farm in Campo das Vertentes, southern Minas Gerais, Brazil. The farm’s focus is on producing high-quality specialty coffees while improving the social and environmental impact of the project. Fazenda Vila Boa is one of the few coffee farms in Brazil certified as carbon neutral by GRÖN. The carbon neutral certification shows that the farm absorbs more carbon (through plant life) than it emits (through harvesting and processing), contributing to the fight against climate change and setting an example for coffee growing in Brazil. Coffee beans are processed through a natural anaerobic fermentation process with extra yeast resulting in a coffee with notes of sweet chocolate and hazelnut body.
