IMPROVING ORGANIC COFFEE PRACTICES IN BOLIVIA
PURPOSE
Create an environmentally conscious coffee culture for rural families in Bolivia living in the buffer zone of the Amboro National Park, as a production alternative for their sustainable development. This required the creation of a comprehensive alliance that included private and public stakeholders, producers and civil society as well as empowered coffee producer organizations.
PHASES:
- Identify processes with better access to markets
- Create new certified, small coffee farms
- Strengthen the organization and its strategic alliances
This project was possible thanks to the support of Bevrijde Wereld, CEPAC, AGRICABV and the EFICO Foundation and ran from 2006 to 2008.
