ACCESS TO ELECTRICITY TO IMPROVE THE COFFEE COMMUNITY’S QUALITY OF LIFE IN GUATEMALA

PURPOSE

  • Enable rural families to have light and electricity in their homes, schools, child care facility, church, health and community laboratory
  • Facilitate daily life on both personal/household level and on community level
  • Improve the community’s quality of life
  • Distribute 240 Sun King Pro devices (1 light bulb per lamp) and 47 Barefoot Connect devices (4 light bulbs per solar panel)

This project was possible thanks to the support of Hesselink Koffie, Mujeres en Café Guatemala and EFICO Central America/the EFICO Foundation and ran from January 2015 to March 2016.
