PURPOSE

  • Improve living standards of smallholder coffee growers with management skills and support to improve product quality
  • Increase access to international markets
  • Help producers to work on an ecological, social and institutional sustainability
  • Protect the natural environment by planting 400 hectares of certified sustainable wood to benefit shade-grown coffee

This project was possible thanks to the support of Trias, AMPRO, PILHAR, ASONOG and EFICO Central America/the EFICO Foundation and ran from 2008 to 2010, as a continuation of the project that ran in 2005-2008.
