At EFICO, we have been sourcing and selling green coffee since 1926.
Over the years, the coffee trade has changed, but our way of working remains rooted in personal relationships, coffee expertise and long-term partnerships.
We work closely with producers, suppliers and roasters to connect the right coffees, knowledge and services across the coffee value chain.
Today, we source and supply a wide range of coffees from origins around the world.
Quality and sustainability are integral to how we work, from sourcing and quality assessment to logistics and customer service.
Our Expertise
Since 1926, EFICO has developed in-depth knowledge of green coffee, from sourcing at origin and assessing quality to product development and following market developments. We source a wide range of coffees from around the world and work directly with producer and roaster partners, drawing on our knowledge of origins, markets and coffee quality.
We select coffees to meet our roaster partners’ requirements, supported by in-house expertise in quality and product development. Our dedicated green coffee warehouse at SEABRIDGE in Zeebrugge provides professional handling and storage, while our teams share product and market information and provide the expertise needed for day-to-day coffee needs.
Our Commitment
We are committed to responsible sourcing that supports people, quality coffee and a resilient coffee value chain. We consider social, environmental and economic factors in our sourcing strategy, from farmers’ livelihoods and ecosystem protection to the future of coffee production.
This commitment extends to the EFICO Foundation, established as a private foundation in 2003 to improve coffee farmers’ livelihoods and prosperity while supporting the environment.
We maintain an open dialogue with all actors involved and assess our impact on society, the environment and our partners to identify opportunities for progress and continuously improve our approach.
