SOLAR PANELS FOR COOPERATIVA NUEVO SENDERO
By installing 32 solar panels with 120 cells each in the wet mill, the objective of this project is to support the Nuevo Sendero cooperative in the generation of clean electric energy for its wet mill and water pump in Nueva Santa Rosa, Guatemala. The solar panels will significantly reduce the coffee cooperative's CO2 footprint. This installation marks a major step forward in the cooperative's commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
HEALTHY HOMES IN OLOPA, CHIQUIMULA
This project's objective is to improve the living conditions and health of 85 smallholder coffee families in El Bendito and Los Vasquez of Olopa Guatemala, through the implementation of 116 housing solutions in 3 years' time. This will include smokeless stoves, concrete floors, rainwater harvesting systems and reinforcement capacities through capacity building training.
FOUNDATIONS FOR GROWTH: HEALTHY HOME KITS IN HUEHUETENANGO
This project's objective is to provide 74 partner families with Healthy Home Kits, containing smokeless stoves, improved latrines and/or water filters in the coffee farming community of Finca Palmeiras, Villatoro and Las Palmas in Huehuetenango, Guatemala.
SPECIAL EMERGENCY PROJECT ∙ FUEGO VOLCANO ERUPTION DISASTER RESPONSE
On June 3rd 2018, the Fuego Volcano erupted in Guatemala, mainly affecting coffee regions. As a response to this volcano eruption and its consequences, we initiated a special emergency Volcano project together with Habitat for Humanity Guatemala (HFHG) to provide structural support for the families that needed to be re-allocated by contributing in the construction of their homes, bringing them hope for the future. The overall objective of this project is the assistance of coffee farming families affected by the volcano eruption in Valle de las Flores, Palin, Esquintla, Guatemala.

DISASTER RELIEF ETA X IOTA TROPICAL STORMS: FOOD AND HYGIENE KITS
After hurricane ETA, a second hurricane IOTA (category 5 storm) hit Central America in November 2020. The combination of this recent emergency and the COVID-19 pandemic context increased the risk of the most vulnerable families. Besides infrastructure damage, this was a real concern just a few weeks before the coffee harvest season would kick in. The overall objective of this project is the assistance of 70 coffee farming families affected by the tropical storms in El Progreso, La Unión, Zacapa, Guatemala.
EDUCATION AND TECHNOLOGY EMPOWERING YOUTH
The overarching goal of this project is to promote quality education and long-term opportunities for 159 youngsters and children in the El Platanillo community in San Marcos, Guatemala. By graduating more youngsters with a good education level and by promoting the use of technological devices, increased access to matching job opportunities is stimulated.
THE FUTURE OF COFFEE ∙ WORLD COFFEE RESEARCH MULTI-LOCATION VARIETY TRIAL
13 On-Farm Technology Trials (OFTT) are established in Honduras and Guatemala to allow farmers to experience the impact of investing in new technologies, related to improved varieties and climate-smart agronomic practices.
