This public-private partnership project is a demonstration project focusing on climate change mitigation and adaptation through water-efficient irrigation on approximately 123 hectares and regenerative agriculture on 440 hectares in Lyamungo and Manushi Narumo farms. The project also supports awareness campaigns and capacity-building initiatives, reaching 3,500 cooperative members.

At the Las Flores Coffee School in Santa Rosa, Guatemala, 4 students are trained to graduate with a Coffee High School diploma and to become agents of economic and social development. SOLAR PANELS FOR COOPERATIVA NUEVO SENDERO

By installing 32 solar panels with 120 cells each in the wet mill, the objective of this project is to support the Nuevo Sendero cooperative in the generation of clean electric energy for its wet mill and water pump in Nueva Santa Rosa, Guatemala. The solar panels will significantly reduce the coffee cooperative's CO2 footprint. This installation marks a major step forward in the cooperative's commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

This specific coffee is called Tanzania “Tumaini”, meaning “HOPE” in Kiswahili. This fully washed Rainforest Alliance coffee has a balanced cup, fine acidity, milk chocolate body with fruity flavors, berry and tobacco notes, bright sweetness and rounded with smooth finish. It is produced by APK, a business owned by a family group with deep roots in Colombia under the leadership of Alejandro Galante, which makes APK uniquely Tanzanian with a Colombian feel. Through the EFICO Foundation project 'Kilimanjaro Water and Food For all', APK, together with Herencia Value Your Legacy and EFICO seek to mitigate productive, social, environmental and financial risks for their operations in Tanzania, while improving resilience in their coffee value chain through the implementation of regenerative and water efficient agricultural systems for coffee and maize seeds in 2 APK farms to restore soil productivity and grant access to water and food for rural communities in Kilimanjaro. The overall objective of this project is to improve the quality of life of 150 students in El Pinal, Copan, Honduras. This through education, adding new nutritional components to the school lunch menu, improving the conditions of the kitchen area and tools of the school lunch, implementing a sustainable school garden as well as educational and corrective actions in hygienic habits, de-parasitizing and the provision of vitamin supplements.

HEALTHY HOMES IN OLOPA, CHIQUIMULA

This project's objective is to improve the living conditions and health of 85 smallholder coffee families in El Bendito and Los Vasquez of Olopa Guatemala, through the implementation of 116 housing solutions in 3 years' time. This will include smokeless stoves, concrete floors, rainwater harvesting systems and reinforcement capacities through capacity building training.
